BISU Hosts International Conference on Digital Transformation
Bishkek Innovation University recently hosted the first International Conference on Digital Transformation in Central Asia, bringing together experts, policymakers, and industry leaders from more than 15 countries.
The three-day conference featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, and workshops on various aspects of digital transformation, including e-governance, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and the impact of emerging technologies on economic development.
"This conference provided a valuable platform for sharing knowledge and experiences related to digital transformation," said Dr. Bakyt Asanov, President of BISU. "The insights and recommendations that emerged from the discussions will help guide our efforts to promote digital innovation in Kyrgyzstan and the broader Central Asian region."
Notable speakers at the conference included representatives from international organizations such as the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme, as well as government officials responsible for digital transformation initiatives in their respective countries.
The conference also featured a startup showcase, where promising tech startups from Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries presented their innovative solutions to potential investors and partners.
"We're pleased with the success of this inaugural conference and plan to make it an annual event," said Dr. Asanov. "By bringing together key stakeholders in the digital transformation ecosystem, we can accelerate the pace of innovation and development in our region."
The proceedings of the conference will be published in a special issue of the BISU Journal of Digital Innovation, which will be available online next month.
